A-Level tutoring, taught by someone with 3A*s & A

I teach A-Level Maths and Computer Science personally, every week, 1-to-1. Not a tutoring agency, not a rotating cast of tutors: me, the same person whose grades are on the front page.

Further Maths & Physics: also available, taught by a specialist tutor (hand-picked and overseen by me, like our GCSE tutoring). Spaces are very limited, so these are by enquiry only: reach out and I'll let you know what's available.
What a lesson looks like

An hour that actually moves your grade

Every lesson follows a rhythm designed to turn understanding into marks:

  • Review (10 min): we go through your homework and fix what went wrong, properly.
  • Teach (25 min): the week's topic, explained the way I wish someone had explained it to me.
  • Apply (20 min): real past-paper questions, live, with examiner mark schemes.
  • Plan (5 min): exactly what you're doing before next week. No vague "revise chapter 4".
Who it's for

Ambitious students only

You don't need to be on an A* right now. Most of my students aren't when they start. You do need to want it. My best results come from students who:

  • Are aiming for an A or A* (or a serious grade jump)
  • Will actually do the weekly homework
  • Want methods and exam technique, not just "more explaining"

FAQ

Common questions

How do the weekly lessons work?
You get a fixed weekly slot (same day, same time) over video call with a shared digital whiteboard. Consistency is a big part of why weekly 1-to-1 works: your slot is yours for the whole term.
Which exam boards do you cover?
Maths: Edexcel, AQA and OCR. Computer Science: OCR and AQA. If you're on a different board, mention it when you book. The content overlap is large and I'll be upfront about whether I can help.
Is there a free trial or intro session?
Before any payment, we have a free intro chat: you (and your parents, if you like) meet me, we talk through goals and current grades, and we make sure it's the right fit. No pressure either way.
How do payments work?
£40 per hour, paid per lesson or per half-term block, whatever suits your family. Details are confirmed in the intro chat.
Can you take on Year 12 and Year 13?
Yes, both. And starting in Year 12 is the single best predictor of an A*. Year 13 students preparing for final exams are welcome too; we'll build a revision-focused plan.
